Leonora Moore







Leonora Moore is a British-Malaysian Director and Actress, based in the NorthWest of England. After graduating from Oxford University with a Masters degree in Astrophysics, she moved to Japan and spent several years exploring Asia.

Her first big starring role was in 'The Taiwan Oyster', a dark-comedy feature film shot in Taiwan, that premiered to rave reviews at SXSW 2012.

Leonora wrote, directed and starred in her award winning directorial feature debut 'East', shot around Cheshire and Llangollen, which won 'Best Feature Film' at the UK Film Festival 2011 and was also awarded 'Best International Screenplay' at the Los Angeles Movie Awards 2012.

Leonora spent last year co-directing her second feature film 'Hear The Doors' with her brother Jonny Moore. Set in an off-kilter world, 'Hear The Doors' explores the universe and our understanding of existence through the eyes of a 5 yr old boy.

She has landed roles in several feature films due for release later this year; 'Surviving Alba', 'I Have A Bad Feeling About This' and 'Love, Unemployed' and is currently writing another feature screenplay, which is due to begin production in Taiwan at the end of 2014.
